On August 30, 2023, Swamy Kocherlakota, EVP and CIO of S&P Global toured the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in Robbinsville, NJ. In line with Raksha Bandhan, the festival emphasizing protection, Kocherlakota noted his admiration for the dedication of the volunteers and extended his prayers for their safety and self-awareness.
Impressed by the vast scale and nuances of work carried out by volunteers, Kocherlakota spoke about the evident joy, affection, and the spirit of giving that radiated from each person he interacted with.
He quoted, “America is a nation of immigrants from multiple cultures. The broader community in the US is encouraging a beautiful architecture that reflects the American culture of inclusiveness, and diversity. Everybody and everyone’s choices matter. This Akshardham is not only open to Hindus but to all.”
